Naomi Brown

Naomi joined the CYP team in 2021, after receiving her Bachelor degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary, and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario. Between graduating, and starting with CYP, Naomi spent time working with adults with mental health conditions, and chronic illnesses in both inpatients and outpatient settings. She always knew that she wanted to work with the pediatric population, and loves the opportunity to work, play, educate and advocate for the patients that she gets to connect with. Naomi strives to empower patients of all ages to set, and reach their own goals, and hopes to have some fun along the way.

Naomi has taken many professional development courses in the last few years focused on sensory regulation, interoception, and executive functioning. She also recently completed a course on primitive reflex integration, and toilet training for neurodivergent individuals. Naomi has since found a keen interest in supporting feeding skills, completing the SOS Approach to Feeding workshop, and advanced training, along with other courses focusing on feeding skills for patients with neurological conditions. She Is excited to be offering diverse feeding sessions to the CYP community!

When not in the clinic, Naomi enjoys going for walks, escaping to the pilates reformer, spending time with friends and family, and searching for the next best book to add to her reading list!
