Madeleine Trimmer

Maddy completed her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MScOT) at the University of Alberta, Calgary campus, and her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary, with a minor in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies. Before completing her OT degree, Maddy worked as a kinesiologist and saw firsthand the impact that an injury can have on all areas of a person’s life. She was inspired by the possibilities OT offered her to combine a physical and psychosocial approach to promote participation in meaningful activities.

Maddy has always been passionate about working with children, from coaching youth soccer to being a long-term nanny. She enjoys working with children of all ages to help them meet the goals that are important to them. One of Maddy’s favourite things about working with children is that it allows her to tap into her creative side to make every OT session fun! Maddy prioritizes supporting children and families in developing skills for everyday routines, play, and participation at home and school.

In her free time, you’ll find Maddy playing soccer, walking along the river, spending time with friends, watching Harry Potter, and cuddling her cat!
