Meet our exceptional CYP team! Comprised of diverse talents and expertise, we are a dedicated and passionate group committed to delivering excellence to all our patients.

Our therapists are members in good standing with the College of Physical Therapists of Alberta and Alberta College of Occupational Therapists and abide by the code of ethics and bylaws of this governing body.

Linette Lahey

Linette Lahey

Owner/Physical Therapist

Linette’s passion for physio is evident in her treatment philosophy and vision for the clinic. Her professional interests include sports injuries (high knowledge of gymnastics), posture, pediatric orthopedic and neurodevelopmental conditions. Linette has trained in pediatric vestibular rehabilitation and has completed her Cuevas Medek Exercises (CME) level 1 training. Her combined experience and training make for a robust skill set, which she loves to share with CYP clients. When she’s not at the clinic, Linette is on the move. She enjoys running, walking, travelling, and spending time with her family.

Keltie Wattie

Owner/Physical Therapist

Keltie holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. She has also completed training in medical acupuncture and dry needling, as well as pediatric vestibular rehabilitation. Keltie has completed two Return to Play pediatric concussion courses. One on the Assessment of Persistent Post Concussion Symptoms and one focusing on the Treatment of Persistent Post Concussion Symptoms. She is passionate about working with kids who have had concussion to get them back in the game. At the clinic Keltie enjoys assessing and treating children and adults with sports injuries, orthopedic, neurological and developmental conditions. A long time Highland dancer herself – Keltie has special interest in dance related injuries. She continues to be involved in the Highland dance community as a teacher, and judge at dance competitions. Keltie, her husband and two kids love to keep physically active. You may find them skiing, running or anywhere near a beach enjoying water sports!

Amy Fernandes

Physical Therapist & Social Media Lead

Amy joined the CYP team in 2013. After graduating from the University of Manitoba, Amy worked in a private setting in the area of orthopedics and sports medicine; she also worked with preschool-aged children with neurological impairments and developmental delays in preschool and home settings. Amy has completed training in medical acupuncture/dry needling, manual therapy, and spinal manipulation, toe walking, the pediatric vestibular system, gymnastics injuries and hypermobility conditions. She also enjoys working with babies with torticollis and latching concerns. Amy always knew she wanted to work with children and has had a great passion for it. As a former gymnast and gymnastics coach, she understands the demands sports and everyday life can have on the body and loves to help children and teens meet those demands with healthy bodies. When she’s not at the clinic, Amy spends time with her daughters and can be found hiking, running, golfing, or reading a good book.

Morgan McDonald

Physical Therapist & Clinical Lead

Morgan was born and raised in Calgary and grew up participating in many competitive sports such as badminton, soccer, running, volleyball and golf. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Alberta and then her Master of Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney in Australia. Since graduating, Morgan has worked as a physiotherapist in private practice settings in the area of orthopedics and sports medicine. She has been with the CYP team since 2012. Morgan enjoys working with children and adults of all ages with a variety of orthopedic conditions as well as babies and children with gross motor delays and torticollis. Morgan has also gone on to complete training in dry needling as well as obtaining her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist designation (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Morgan has completed two Return to Play pediatric concussion courses. One on the Assessment of Persistent Post Concussion Symptoms and one focusing on the Treatment of Persistent Post Concussion Symptoms. She has also completed training for Pediatric Pelvic Health and can help children with bladder and bowel concerns.

In her spare time, Morgan enjoys spending time with her husband and three young children as well as golfing, skiing and playing badminton. Morgan continues to strive to help patients of all ages reach their fitness and injury prevention objectives by looking at the whole body and taking a hands-on approach to her treatments.

Megan Wilson

Physical Therapist & Team Values Lead (On Maternity Leave)

Megan joined the CYP team in 2016. Since graduating from the University of Sydney in Australia in 2013, Megan has worked in both adult and pediatric private practice and acute hospital settings. Megan has gone on to complete her certification in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), her certification in dry needling, her Orthodiv level 1 training and completed her McKenzie Part A training. When she is not at work, she can be found in the mountains exploring, and planning her next travel adventure.

Physical Therapist

Leah joined the CYP team in 2015 and has worked as a pediatric physiotherapist for over ten years, treating children with a variety of neurological, developmental and orthopedic conditions. Along the way, she has taken a variety of professional courses in Neuro-developmental Treatment (NDT), Vestibular Rehabilitation and Kinesiotaping in pediatrics. When she isn’t working, Leah is kept busy running after her four children Kai, Maya, Freya and Finn. Along with her husband Patrick, her family enjoys camping, hiking, yoga, cross-country skiing and travelling.

Bhanupriya “Priya” graduated from Physiotherapy School in India in 2008. Since graduation she has worked in pediatric and adult physiotherapy with pediatrics as her passion. Along the way, she has taken a variety of professional courses including Neuro-developmental Therapy, Dynamic Core for Kids and the Role of Physiotherapy in Children with Sensory Processing Disorders. She has also completed her Level 1 Dry Needling course with Acupuncture Canada. Priya strongly believes in teamwork and encouraging each child to reach their maximum potential. Outside work Priya enjoys cooking and hiking with her family.

Physical Therapist

Tracy joined the CYP team in 2016. Since graduating from the University of Alberta, Tracy has worked in adult private practice, on the Neuro team at the Foothills hospital, and at the CYP clinic. Tracy has completed a number of courses over the years including dry needling levels 1 and 2, treatment for toe walking, pediatric gait, torticollis and plagiocephaly, and most recently her CME I.

Tracy has always been passionate about working with the pediatric population, spending eight years teaching children dance and now continues to work with children at the CYP clinic. In her spare time, Tracy enjoys snowboarding, dance, golf, summertime on Mara Lake, and spending time with her family!

Tracy believes that physical activity is the key to health and enjoys helping patients of all ages reach their physical goals.

Shannon Forsyth

Physical Therapist

Shannon completed a Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta in 2014. Before physiotherapy, she completed a certificate in athletic therapy as well as her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist training (CSCS). She has worked with professional basketball and rugby teams, university level soccer, basketball, and volleyball teams, as well as high school hockey teams.

Since graduating, Shannon has worked as a physiotherapist in private practice settings in orthopedics and sports medicine. She has also worked in schools and the community helping children build confidence in their gross motor skills and ensuring accessibility in and around schools. Shannon enjoys working with children and adults of all ages with a variety of orthopedic and neurological conditions.

Shannon’s children have all had difficulties with constipation in infancy and throughout the toddler years. Navigating these challenges piqued her interest in pediatric pelvic health and she began training in this area. Working from a family-centred framework, she can help with issues such as bedwetting, fecal incontinence, and constipation.

When she is not working, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Her favourite activities include road biking, any form of skiing, and playing volleyball with her friends.

Holly Maher

Physical Therapist

Holly joined the CYP Team in 2021. Holly completed her Master of Science in Physiotherapy from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. Holly has experience working in private practice orthopedics, and with neurologically involved children both in the community and outpatient settings.

Holly has completed training in advanced soft tissue release, dry needling and Cuevas Medek Exercise (CME) levels 1 and 2. Holly is excited to offer this therapy within her sessions as well as offering intensive therapy blocks. Holly is one of the only CME level 2 therapists in Alberta.

Holly enjoys treating a diverse population, working with children of all ages and abilities. Holly has a very hands on approach to getting kids back to their activities as well as helping them achieve their highest potential.

When Holly isn’t working she can be found exploring the mountains with her dog Sadie.

Sydney DeBlois

Sydney DeBlois

Physical Therapist

Sydney joined the CYP team in 2023 after receiving both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta. She was inspired to pursue a career in physiotherapy during her time as a ballet dancer, where she had the opportunity to see how different injuries and conditions impact movement.

Sydney enjoys working with children and adults with various orthopedic, neurological, and developmental conditions. She has completed training in Level 1 trigger point dry needling. Sydney strives to bring a creative and fun approach to treatments, with a focus on function, participation, and independence. Sydney strongly believes that movement should be accessible to everyone and looks forward to helping clients reach their goals – whatever they may be!

When not in the clinic, you can find Sydney hiking, skiing, or on the hunt for Calgary’s best restaurant.

Jasmin Kamboz

Physical Therapist

Jasmin graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Master of Physical Therapy. She completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Regina with a major in Human Kinetics. Jasmin has been passionate in working with children and youth through her time spent coaching handball, teaching Punjabi, personal training, and working in a variety of clinical settings including the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital.

Jasmin enjoys working with infants, children and adults of all ages supporting their gross motor, neurodevelopmental and orthopedic needs. She is certified in dry needling and has taken several courses to further support youth and adults with diverse neurodevelopmental conditions and sport based injuries. She can often be found in the community supporting new mothers and families to learn prevention and management strategies to support their children’s development.

In her spare time Jasmin likes to be active in the outdoors hiking, running, and rollerblading. She is excited to continue making physical activity fun and therapeutic to help build a love for movement.

John Pexman

Physical Therapist

John graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta. He has also completed two bachelor’s degrees in biology and education at the University of Calgary. Prior to becoming a physiotherapist, John enjoyed working as a schoolteacher in Calgary.

John is an avid runner and triathlete and has clinical experience treating orthopedic sports injuries. He has also worked with children with neurological conditions at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. He was a cycling coach for the Ultimate Para Sports Association, teaching children with disabilities to ride bicycles, and worked as a senior lifeguard and instructor at the University of Calgary Aquatic Center.

In his free time, John can be found hiking in the mountains or on his bike around town.

Naomi Brown

Occupational Therapist

Naomi joined the CYP team in 2021, after receiving her Bachelor degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary, and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario. Between graduating, and starting with CYP, Naomi spent time working with adults with mental health conditions, and chronic illnesses in both inpatients and outpatient settings. She always knew that she wanted to work with the pediatric population, and loves the opportunity to work, play, educate and advocate for the children that she gets to see. Naomi strives to empower patients of all ages to set, and reach their own goals, and hopes to have a little fun along the way.

Naomi has taken many professional development courses in the last few years focused on sensory regulation, interoception, and executive functioning. She has recently also completed the SOS Approach to Feeding Workshop and is very excited to be offering feeding therapy for patients.

When not in the clinic, Naomi enjoys going for walks, spending time with friends and family, Pilates classes, and dreaming up her next project on the pottery wheel.

Jane joined the CYP team in November 1996 taking on the role of Office Manager. She is friendly, organized, kind and compassionate. Jane is always ready and willing to assist visitors, patients and staff. Outside of the office, Jane enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren, taking long walks with her fur baby and listening to music.

Debi Tetz

Calgary Youth Physiotherapy welcomed Debi to the team in November 2015 as the north clinic Office Administrator. After a career in advertising, Debi was looking for a change and CYP was the perfect fit.

Now that her two boys are all grown up, Debi and her husband are empty nesters who enjoy spending time with friends. Debi volunteers for several charities and cheers on her beloved Blue Jays, Flames and Stampeders at every opportunity.

Milk chocolate and some good reality TV are Debi’s guilty pleasures. No need to ask Debi if she takes cream in her coffee… she’s never taken a sip!

Yvonne is a dedicated Office Administrator known for her exceptional organizational skills and warm demeanour. Outside of work, she enjoys unwinding by watching her favorite cooking shows, which inspire her culinary adventures. She also has a passion for traveling to beachy locations, where she loves to soak up the sun and explore new cultures. Interestingly, Yvonne has a tendency to sound like Linda Belcher from the animated series Bob's Burgers, often channeling Linda's sing-songy voice and upbeat personality in her daily interactions. This quirky trait adds a unique charm to her vibrant personality, making her a valuable asset in her professional and personal life.

Kari has been a wonderful addition to the CYP team! She is the mother of three adult boys, who she loves spending time with whenever she can. Cooking and baking for her family are her favourite hobbies, which come in handy with these growing boys! In her spare time, Kari also enjoys walking, gardening, camping and spending time in nature.

Young joined the CYP team in November 2022 as an Office Administrator. She is kind, bright and detail oriented. Outside of work, Young is actively involved in Children’s Ministry with her Korean Canadian community. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and children traveling and seeing the world with them.

Kathy joined the CYP administrative team in July 2023. In the past, Kathy has worked as a Child and Youth Social Worker, a certified Early Childhood Educator, and in the area of Human Resources, specializing in compensation, benefits, payroll, and timekeeping. She has strong administrative skills and is passionate about advocating for children, including those with disabilities, inspired by having a sister with Down syndrome.
